Who needs Vancouver?

I'm a little late in posting the snow pictures, but was looking around yesterday and couldn't believe that it had been a winter wonderland just a week ago. The boys LOVED it and played until Ryan's hands turned purple. We threw snowballs, made snow angels and actually made a sled out of a Pampers box. Hey, when in Rome...

View from the front door. Being in a townhome, on a hill, surrounded by pine trees, it looked like we were stepping out the door of our ski lodge that morning. It's fun to pretend.

Ryan Turns 2!

A few weeks ago, we celebrated Ryan's second birthday. We had an Elmo themed party complete with pizza (Elmo and Ryan's favorite food) and goldfish crackers (Dorothy reference for the Elmo savvy). We had lunch, cupcakes, and presents. Ryan hit the snacks hard early on and gorged himself on pizza. You'll see shortly how well that turned out. (Beware: Some of the following pictures are graphic in nature.)

FORESHADOWING! Remember this picture. It will come into play later...

Bring on the cake!

He knew exactly how to blow out candles!

Ominous look...

Yep. Two bites of the cupcakes mommy stayed up late making and puke-a-roo.

That would be a set of mommy hands and two sets of grandmother hands. The women sprung into action to get the birthday boy clean.

Unfazed by the cupcake episode, Ryan moves onto presents.

Candy Coma

The boys had their Valentine's parties at school this week. Ryan hit the Sweetheart candies pretty hard. When we pulled into the garage, this is what I found in the backseat. He was breathing, but that was about it. The kid just can't handle his candy.

Signs of Progress

When I say that we have boxes stacked to the ceiling around here, I MEAN it! We didn't have any room to spare, but now that I am trying to pack, it is even tighter. It doesn't bother us much though, because it only means that in a few more weeks, we are finally moving to our new home!
