Model Train Exhibit

Last week the boys and I went to see our local museum's Holiday Model Train Exhibit. Admission is free and the only thing they ask - DO NOT TOUCH! I told the kind volunteers that I would try my best to uphold our end of the deal, but it was not going to be easy with two little boys that LOVE trains!

The exhibit featured two running trains and an animated Christmas village.

Ryan was initially happy to stand in one place and watch the trains pass by, but Reagan ran circles around the table chasing the train.

Ooooo! (Notice the lurking "DON'T TOUCH" volunteers in the background.)

Ryan found the McDonald's. Pure joy.

Woo-Woo!

Reagan getting ready to race the train.

Was hoping for a Christmas card worthy shot here, but like hundreds of others, all I get is a picture of Reagan smiling by himself and a blur of Ryan's head as he runs away.

Reagan in action and mommy yelling, "DON'T TOUCH!"

Getting Technical with Santa

We were out shopping last week and Reagan made me take pictures of things he wanted to send to Santa so he would know EXACTLY what he wanted. I assured him the jolly guy would know, but Reagan would not back down. SO, had to take my camera out in Wal-Mart and take pictures of lovely Transformer and Stars Wars pajamas for Santa. Was a low point for my self esteem.

Christmas Concert

Reagan's school performed their annual Christmas program this week. As always, put a bunch of preschoolers together who roughly know the words to some Christmas songs and it proves to be entertaining.

Reagan's class + the Kindergarten class singing "I'm Gettin Nuttin for Christmas".
We were so proud of Reagan. In years past, he spent the entire program looking at his shoes. This year he knew all the words and sang his little heart out. He didn't even let the kid vogueing next to him distract him from his singing.

Did I fail to mention some of his classmates are possessed? (Even the red eye fix refused this awful picture, but I loved that Reagan was giving me a big grin!)

Reagan Turns 5!

We celebrated Reagan's fifth birthday this past Saturday at Pump It Up. It was the wildest party I have ever hosted or attended. There were 23 kids and it was CRAZY!

The birthday boy - can't believe he's already five years old!

What snow?

Attempting to catch snowflakes on his tongue.

Fa La La La Longhorns

Reagan's first soccer season has come to a close and fun was had by all. He was on a team with all his buddies from school and he had an extremely kind and patient coach who was more about having fun than winning games. The games were hilarious and I would get SO excited if Reagan and the ball got anywhere near that goal. This Aggie had no qualms wearing orange and yelling, "GO LONGHORNS!!" A few pictures from the season:

First game - played in the rain. The Longhorns are hardcore.

Ryan quickly learned where the concession stand was located and how to beg for Cheetos.

Time on the sidelines was typically used for wrestling, picking and throwing grass at one another and catching bugs.

Aren't they scary?

Smells like team spirit.

Thank goodness for Coach Hickman!

Awww...

Look what we found: the boys snuggled up, SHARING Daddy's iphone. They love to use it for games and cartoons and this typically results in fussing and fighting. Guess they know Santa Claus is coming to town.

Chillaxin

Found Ryan like this a few weeks ago. I had been off in another room and came back through to find him posted up at the table, juice in hand and feet on the table like he owned the place. By the time I got the camera the feet had come down, but you get the idea...

Don't Mess

Had to get one more round out of the leftover Halloween pirate make-up before it hit the trash.

Trick or Treat!

Last night we went to our friends' home and joined several families for trick-or-treating. The boys were so excited and moving so fast that neither wanted to stop and have a Kodak moment for mom. Reagan was an old pro this year and was mostly brave enough to go to the doors without John having to do the knocking and talking. This was Ryan's first year out of the stroller and on the doorsteps and he LOVED it.

Back at the house having pizza with a football player, Spiderman and a lion.

Ryan insisted on walking by himself. Thought it was too cute not to video a bit. Watching him bumble and stumble around had me humming "What'll we do with a Drunken Sailor?"...!
