The Importance of E-R

Yesterday Reagan made me a beautiful drawing with many different colored butterflies. The top of the picture says, "I love Buttflies." : )

Frankie Says Relax...and Merry Christmas!

Our church class had an 80's themed Christmas party this year. Sadly I struck out on my search for bad Christmas sweaters, so I guess I am Debbie Gibson and John is, well...creepy. Like, for sure!
Gag me!
Totally!
Have a RAD Christmas!

Sign of the Times

Now that Reagan has learned how to write, I find lovely little postings like this one taped to the playroom door. How nice that he uses his education to better the world.

Reagan Turns Six

After a wild and crazy party last year, we decided to have a much smaller party in the backyard for Reagan's sixth birthday. We had a treasure hunt, grilled hot dogs and roasted marshmallows for s'mores. Everyone had a great time and I was not left with a nervous twitch!

Happy Brithday Reagan!

Wonderland of Lights

Sunday night we headed to Marshall to see the famous Wonderland of Lights. The streets and buildings downtown are all decorated with Christmas lights, including the courthouse. They have ice skating, train rides, snow hills, Christmas music and hot chocolate. It was VERY cold, but we bundled up and had a jolly time.

Downtown stores - my sad photo does not do it justice.

Ryan was so excited he jumped and squealed the entire time we were there.
They had a little train that rode around the square. Ryan literally dove head first into the back of the caboose without permission and without a ticket. Fortunately the conductor thought it was pretty funny and let him stay while Dad went and bought an overpriced ticket.

We ALL rode in the caboose. You can see how small it was from this picture. Now imagine John smushed up next to me. I am sure it looked like a clown car when we all crawled out after the ride.

SO EXCITED

Tree Hugger
Reagan took this photo! Having a six year old can be handy.
Still SO excited.

A clip from the very bumpy and very exciting train ride.

2 Boys and a Hilly Road

Last night we took the boys to see the Christmas lights in Marshall. We took a back and rather hilly road to get there and the boys decided it was like a roller coaster.

Frank and Darth Go Trick-or-Treating

This year's Halloween festivities began with the annual PREP School Halloween parade.
Ryan went as Frankenstein this year.

Ryan's friend Ellie - she was so cute I had to take a picture!

Alexis, aka Dorothy - also a cutie!

Wardrobe malfunction - Frank's losing his pants. (Since I was Ryan's date to the parade, I decided to go as the Bride of Frankenstein.)

After a successful march around the school, it is party time.

MMM. Cupcake. Frank like.

Later in the week, John and the boys carved the jack-o-lantern.

First Ryan and Foster Kitty
lose interest.
Then Reagan and Amy lose interest. And then just like every year, John is left carving alone.

Sunday we went to our church Fall Festival before trick-or-treating in the neighborhood. Even though Reagan had a Darth Vader mask, he insisted upon having his face painted black.

My Pickup Line

Once you have school aged kids, "pick-up line" takes on a whole new meaning. Here's Ryan and I passing the time as we wait to pick Reagan up from school. Cheers!

The Longhorns are Back!

Soccer season returned this month and Reagan is back on the same team with his buddies. Thanks to the addition of some talented twins, the Longhorns (or rather, the twins) have so far dominated their opponents.

Ryan's First Day of School

Ryan's first day went off without a hitch. Happy boy happy to go back to school. Happy mommy happy to have him back in school. : )Foster kitty made her way into the picture.

I could not get him to stand in front of the school like we usually do, so here is a picture of Ryan and the houses across the street from the school.

He hears a train whistle in the distance. Makes it all even that more exciting.
