Beavers Bend

After Christmas, my family headed to the Beavers Bend area in Oklahoma for a few days. It was a perfect getaway and a chance to relax after all the chaos of Christmas. We had a great time just hanging out, playing outside with the boys and enjoying the cold, winter weather.
Nana and her crazy boys

Reagan and John spent much of their time working on the fire. Fire guys.

Beavers Bend Sasquatch sighting???

We have been cautious with chocolate in the past due to Reagan's peanut allergy. He has done well with Hershey's so we roasted marshmallows and let him have his first smore. The picture says it all.

Happy Campers

More smore.

Reagan took me on a walk down a trail he and John had found.

Not taking into account my fear of heights, he made me cross the creek via log. Crikey!

Then my hair got stuck in a tree. Guess he also failed to take into account that I am two feet taller than him.

Woo-hoo! Fireworks time!

While John and Reagan spent most of their time building fires, Ryan spent most of his time eating graham crackers.

Action shot! Reagan attempting to cross the creek by log again. Fell off the log and into the creek, but shook it off. Get that poor kid another smore.

Hey girl - Thanks for your sweet comment on the blog. You can tell we don't have a lot going on because all of my pictures are around the house. BORING!
Your trip looks like so much fun! I had Jack come read your post because I loved your captions. You are so funny, girl.
MISS YOU and hope all is well. We are ready for a little warm weather. :-)
Love,
Amy
