One Fish, Two Fish

The boys just wrapped up two weeks of swimming lessons. The boys both did a great job. Reagan advanced so much this year. He is no longer timid and standing at the end of the line. He is a full fledged swimmer - jumping off diving boards and swimming the length of the pool! So proud! This was Ryan's first year and he loved it. He could barely touch the bottom of the pool on his tip-toes and spent much of his time bobbing around. His teacher called him the eager beaver and said he would progress leaps and bounds next year when he was wee bit taller!

Poor Reagan was always freezing even though it was very warm and humid in the aquatic center! He shivered and his teeth chattered the entire time.

Both of my boys had a kid in their class that seemed unable to follow the teacher's directions and wreaked havoc from time to time. Here is a good example - Reagan working on his floating and said kid about to torpedo him.

That's Reagan under all that splashing.

They LOVED being in the deep end - so funny. He's getting ready to take the plunge.

Check out the teacher's face.

Ryan's turn!

Kicking! Whatever they did, Ryan had a huge grin on his face.

Rescuing the blow fish.

Mission accomplished.

Out to rescue again - see how the water comes to his ears??!

More crazy grinning and kicking!

And more grinning. This kid rarely has a bad day.

Swishing arms on tip-tip toe!

Working on put his face in the water. On the first day, when the teacher told them to "get their eyes wet", Ryan just took his hands and splashed some water on his eyes rather than stick his face in the water.

Time to jump - his favorite part!
